Dalian's Changhai County recently signed a contract with China National Travel Service Group Corporation to develop a new tourism resort on its Dachangshan Island, reports Dalian Daily News.
According to the report, the tourism resort project is planned with a construction area of 26.63 hectares and enjoys RMB500 million of investment. The construction of seafood stalls, squares, a yacht marina and a traditional Chinese medicine health project has already commenced, and all are expected to be in use before the peak tourist season in 2013.
Aside from that, Dachangxing Island plans to build its first national 5A level tourism zone by 2020, with the establishment of 5 star-level hotels and 5 large-scale local travel groups.
